Organizations

Manage your firm membership and switch between organizations.

Switching Firms

If you belong to multiple organizations, you can switch between them:

1. Click the organization dropdown in the top-left corner
2. Select the firm you want to work in
3. The app will load that firm's cases, documents, and conversations

Organization Isolation

Each organization in Second Seat is completely separate:

• Cases belong to a specific firm
• Documents are only visible within the firm they were uploaded to
• Conversations are isolated per organization
• Settings are configured per firm by administrators

This means your work for one firm is never visible to another.

Joining an Organization

Your firm administrator adds you to the organization. If you need access to a firm's Second Seat account:

1. Contact your firm administrator
2. They will add your email to the organization
3. You'll see the firm appear in your organization dropdown

Multiple Firm Membership

Attorneys who work with multiple firms can:

• Access all firms from a single login
• Switch between firms using the dropdown
• Keep work separate and organized by firm
